Project: Linen Jacket
Decided to incorporate a little embroidery into this project with a small flower on the back of the jacket which I beaded in the centre. Embroidery is such a simple way to add a little something extra to your garments and give it an individual touch.
I finished the seams with pink satin binding known as the Hong Kong finish. This linen jacket would make the transition from summer to winter easily as it's so versatile and can be worn with anything from linen trousers, to jeans and dresses.
Hope you like it and enjoy your weekend :)

Project: Denim Bag
Hi Bloggers,
Well Ive been very busy sewing pieces for my market stall! So I haven't had much time to post anyway here's a taste of whats in store- to begin I had a 30 year old piece of denim(yes 30 years old at least)and a bottle of bleach, the pictures tell what happened next and how it all turned out.....
I had enough denim left to make a couple of hats. Hope your all enjoying the weekend :)

co. clare waterfalls
flowers
hi bloggers, thanks so much for the recent comments,
I resently picked these delicate blooms from shrubs and trees in our garden I thought they looked so pretty in this inexpensive jug from Ikea that Ive gone ahead and planted several types of cut flowers which will be in bloom during the summer months. So its a case of waiting for mother nature to do her magic and provide me with lots and lots of Fressias, Gladiolus, Sweetpea, Gipsophila and Astors to adorn our home this summer:)

Project: White Linen Kaftan
Hi Bloggers, well Ive been really lazy with the blogging, but not so lazy with the sewing-so here's a look at my latest project.
I have decided to make a kaftan from two metres of white very light weight linen that Ive had for ages. The pretty lace I bought in a little shop in Co.Kildare and I embellished with silver thread as with the L.W.D in my last post.
I hope to post lots more as I will be making lots of pieces for my upcoming market stall. Hope you enjoy my post, have a great week :)
